High scoring rivalry of India and Australia got off to a thrilling start in Chennai where the home team scripted a memorable victory in a rain curtailed encounter(the match would have been more interesting if not for the rain though),mainly thanks to the ever cool MSD, Hardik Pandya and wrist spin duo of Kulddep and Chahal. What would be more worrying for Australia is the fact that they lost the match after having India down to 87/5.
So let’s have a look at some interesting things to watch out for in 2nd ODI.
Aussies will look to return the favor:
Steve Smith started where he left off in the Border-Gavaskar test series as far as him being a part of funny incidents is considered. Once again he was the centre of fun for Indian fans following a horrendous review for an LBW in the 45th over of Indian innings. The fun didn’t just end there, Kohli was seen doing a little dance and raising his figure just when cameras panned towards him. If the intriguing test series which was played before 6 months is anything to go by, Aussies will be eager to return the favor as soon as possible.
India will want Kohli to make a statement:
We all know Virat Kohli loves playing against Aussies but his last few innings against Aussies have not been that productive. So the King Kohli will look to amend this and make a strong statement after being dismissed by an excellent catch from Max’Well” jump without scoring in the first match.
It would be interesting to see how Australia’s brutal batting respond to India’s wrist spin duo.
The most fascinating things to wait and watch out for are:
If Rohit Sharma continues his love affair with Eden gardens and the mister cool Dhoni deliver once again either in his newly found anchor role or as the destroyer that we all have been missing for some time now.
