In the second match of BBL season 6 it is the clash of two power packed batting sides at an high scoring venue. It is the clash of McCulum vs Dunk , Lynn vs Head , Burns vs Hodge , Cutting vs Pollard. It would be very interesting to watch such a contest where raining boundaries are guaranteed.


Pitch & conditions

Traditionally Adelaide oval is an high scoring venue with short boundaries and pitch assisting big stroke making. It also assists spin bowling a bit but it does not affect’s stroke making much. A high scoring thriller should be expected between these two power pack batting sides. Weather is going to be clear and sunny with no rain interruptions predicted.

Travis Head newly appointed Australian ODI internationalists is set to play for Adelaide Strikers in the series opener as he is free from international duties. He is capable of hitting big balls none have forgotten what he did last year on new year’s eve smashing Sydney Sixer bowler’s all around the park to get Adelaide an improbable victory scoring 101 not out. It is his favorite ground and one should expect big runs from him.

Alex Ross one might be thinking that why I am naming two Strikers players in my list but you are mistaken. Alex Ross the ‘ sweepologist’ from Adelaide has changed his club and now is a part of Heat’s squad and is all set to debut for against his former club at his former home ground. It is a big game for him and the conditions at Adelaide suit his style of play .

Former left handed batsmen from Hobart is drafted into Adelaide Strikers squad and West Indian superstar Keiron Pollard is back after a year’s gap into strikers squad. Fast bowling allrounder from England has been called up as an replacement for his countryman Adil Rashid who is not available due to international duty.

They have a full strength squad available with Chris Lynn fit , Joe Burns dropped from test squad and presence of West Indian spin bowling sensation in form of Samuel Badree.
